ISO 27001 is a global security management standard that determines the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). To achieve the certification, Snow demonstrated the development and implementation of a rigorous security program for Snow Atlas. Additionally, Snow successfully completed the SOC 2 examination, formally known as a Report on Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality or Privacy.

ISO 27001 is a global security standard that determines the requirements for an ISMS. To achieve the certification, Flexera demonstrated its systematic and ongoing approach to managing sensitive company and customer information through its SaaS-based Flexera One platform. As a result, Flexera One is now recognized as fully compliant with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 global security standard. Flexera also established a formal program to maintain the certification.

Developed in collaboration with its current channel ecosystem, the new Snow partner program includes better support for multiple business models of partners, encouraging the creation of value-added services and driving tangible customer success by leveraging Snow technology. The program includes more partner incentives and rewards than the current program, while streamlining collaboration with Snow to better deliver value to shared customers.

Flexera One helps enterprise customers visualize their entire IT estate, including on-premises, SaaS, cloud, and containers. Flexera One mitigates risk, reduces costs and maximizes every technology investment.

This latest verification enables customers to collect data from Oracle Fusion Middleware, along with Oracle Database and Oracle Database Options, through their Snow solution and submit the data to Oracle’s License Management Services (LMS) and GLAS. Snow customers can evaluate their Oracle investment directly within their Snow solution and have confidence in the accuracy of the data.

Due to economic uncertainty and geopolitical disruptions upending the technology landscape, IT teams have shrinking or stagnant budgets and resources, yet the same goals and KPIs to meet. With increased pressure to foster innovation, boost productivity and remain competitive with fewer resources, IT leaders are struggling to identify where to put their time, energy and spend, resulting in continual strategy pivots.

Responding to Uncertainty in the Market

According to IDC, SaaS is the top source for cloud spend in 2022, accounting for $177.8 billion of the market. In the new Snow survey examining the state of SaaS management, which surveyed 1,000 IT leaders from large organizations of 500+ employees in the United States and United Kingdom, 44% said ‘employees adding new SaaS applications without notifying IT’ is their top challenge to managing SaaS applications at their organization, closely followed by managing SaaS security (42%).

“The macroeconomic environment is forcing organizations to seek a deeper understanding of how all areas of their business are performing,” said Sanjay Castelino, Chief Product and Customer Officer at Snow. “With large annual budgets devoted to IT spend, demonstrating return on investment for every technology purchase is vital for CIOs and IT teams. The latest release from Snow not only identifies how technology is used but also offers use cases to support more sustainable IT practices such as understanding the carbon footprint of devices.

The report enables IT leaders to benchmark their ITAM practices and results against those of other organizations. It explores the thinking of 500 global professionals who manage and participate in ITAM, SAM and HAM processes in medium and large organizations of at least 1,000 employees.

Flexera and nine other vendors were evaluated for The Forrester Wave™ based on 26 criteria grouped into three categories: current offering, strategy, and market presence. In the evaluation, Flexera received the top score in the current offering category. In addition, Flexera had the highest possible scores in the product vision, access and permissions, resource discovery and cloud platform support, billing, cloud visibility, cost optimization, partner ecosystem, and commercial model criteria.

According to IDC, global digital transformation spending is predicted to hit a high of $1.8 trillion in 2022 driven in large part by the rapid expansion of SaaS and cloud technologies. This increased spend comes with a downside. As technology investment grows, so too does the complexity of managing and mitigating the risks of an organization’s technology stack.
