Security Advisories

Since 2002 the team at Secunia Research have been delivering security advisories that provide reliable, curated, actionable vulnerability intelligence. These security advisories provide a summary of the body of work that Secunia Research performs in order to communicate a standardized, validated, and enriched vulnerability research on a specific version of a software product.

If a vendor issues an advisory acknowledging vulnerabilities that we don't believe to be valid, and would have a product solution we aren't recommending or exceeding already, we issue a Rejection Advisory which states why we have determined it is not worthy of your attention, saving you considerable time.

If someone other than the vendor issues an advisory, and we do not believe to be valid, it is discarded so you do not waste your time processing inconsequential vulnerability information.

Secunia Research criticality rating and Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) metrics are issued following distinct analysis including product context and related security best practices to allow for a greatly improved means of prioritizing by criticality.
